Pupil Premium
The pupil premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers. It was introduced in April 2011 and is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years. Looked after children and those of service personnel also attract funding.
Schools are free to spend this additional money in whichever way they think will best improve outcomes for these groups of children. Oundle CE Primary School regularly assesses the needs of these pupils, and provides support both academically and pastorally where appropriate.
We are required to publish how this money is spent in our school and the impact it has had. Please click on the links below to read more about how we spend Pupil Premium money at Oundle CE Primary School.
Pupil Premium Strategy 2022-2023
Pupil Premium Strategy Statement 2023-2024
The Trust Pupil Premium Principles document outlines the expenditure strategy for funds allocated to Oundle CE Primary School.
Because of the established link between deprivation and educational underachievement, this grant is aimed at giving schools additional resources to support such children in overcoming any barriers they may have in order to engage successfully with education.
It also applies to looked-after children, adopted-from-care children and those from of military service families. The rationale for Pupil Premium is that all pupils eligible are enabled to make better than expected progress and to engage fully in every aspect of school life.

- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
