Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

Inclusion and equality of opportunity are very important to the staff and governors of Oundle CE Primary School. We want every child to know success and to thrive in our school, whatever their individual need or challenge.

Mrs Elizabeth Mace is the Special Educational Needs Coordinator and welcomes contact at the earliest opportunity from parents or carers who wish to discuss their child’s needs or who have concerns. Please contact the school office to request a meeting.

Teaching and engaging those pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is part of our comprehensive drive to ensure that every child receives the care and learning they deserve.

If you have any concerns regarding the SEND policy or the provision made for your child please speak to us as soon as possible, in the first instance, to the class teacher. If after this discussion you need to discuss your child’s needs further please make an appointment to see Mrs Mace, SENCo. If you feel your child’s needs are still not being met you should make an appointment to see Mrs Griffin, Headteacher. If concerns are still unresolved you may wish to engage with PDET Complaints Policy.
