Betsy is our Therapy Dog at Oundle CE Primary, and she brings comfort, calm, and a friendly presence to our school community. Children get to spend time with her in a supportive way, whether it’s for a quiet moment, a gentle check-in, or activities that help them feel safe and understood. Many families tell us that having Betsy around helps children settle more easily and feel more at ease throughout the day.

Our work with Betsy therapy dog supports wellbeing and helps children builds confidence at their own pace. Through caring interactions and positive routines, children can practise empathy, learn how to communicate kindly, and develop confidence in themselves. We’re proud to see how Betsy, our therapy dog, can make a real difference—encouraging calmer moments, stronger friendships, and a more positive atmosphere across school.
